I don’t have just good friends, I have great friends. The kind of friends that I can go months not seeing and the minute we are together at the dog park, we go running up to each other and immediately start embracing each other and chasing each other around because we CANNOT BELIEVE we are back together. The kind of friends that can get into trouble together and have so much fun while we are doing it we don’t even care about the consequences. The kind of friends that stay by you for hours when you are sad or down and never leave your side. Those kinds of friends. I basically hit the jackpot in the friend category.
Out of all the holidays in the year, the one that I love the most is the one that combines two things I love: My friends and Thanksgiving. I always look forward to hanging out with my furry friends with the wonderful feeling of nothing more than eating great food and celebrating each other. Although this year looks a little bit different because of Covid, and even though I have not seen some of my friends in months, it will be like no time has passed. That’s the great and amazing thing about friendships…you get to pick up exactly where you left off…wherever you left off with no explanation and no apologies…just love.
So here’s to friends! May we be one and may we know one!
